Set Up Email Client for Sharing

Set the default program for email actions.

Whenever you click on a link that says, "Email Us" or when you use the Email feature in Ript, your computer uses whatever program you’ve set as the default for email.

In Windows Vista:

From the Start menu, select Control Panel.

In Control Panel, select Internet Properties. Windows will display the Internet Properties dialogue.

3	Click on the Programs tab.
4	Open the Email dropdown. Windows will list all of the email clients installed on your machine. Your computer came with Outlook Express installed. If you don’t like Outlook Express, you can download a mail client called Thunderbird for free here, or Microsoft’s new Windows Live Mail here.
5	Click on the Programs tab.

Click OK.

If your primary email program is a webmail program (Hotmail, Yahoo, Gmail, etc.) go on to the instructions for configuring your email client to access webmail.

Every webmail provider will allow you to check your webmail through an email client, but each has slightly different procedure for access..
